For letter R we read Chris Raschka's
Ring! Yo? In this clever story we hear one side of a telephone conversation between two boys. The complexity of listening to one side of a conversation does not deter the students love for this book and I am always impressed at how well they listen and understand the story. I have several old phones and the students LOVE playing with them later during our "choice" time.
